Mama Im cold

Allston said his tummy wasn't feeling very good so he wanted a popsicle for breakfast. I think his stomach was fine he just really wanted a popsicle. So we went crazy and each had a popsicle for breakfast. Allston ate his whole popsicle and then half of mine and by the time he was finished he was so cold he was shivering. So I put his jacket on and he sat on the heater vent and I threw a blanket over him. I used to do that ll the time when I was growing up, it's strange that my kid is starting to do things that I remember doing as a kid.

New Skin

So this post is just a little emverassing because there will be un altered photos of my skin problems but I know a lot of other people have problems with acne and wrinkles and other skin things so hopefully others understand. Anyways I have been reading a new book called The Acne Cure by Terry J. Bubrow, M.d, F.A.C.S. and Brenda D. Adderly, M.H.A. I have tried so many things to help with my acne like topical antibiotics and pills and drug store face wash and creams. This book more than any other other book or Dr. explained what acne was and what different facewashes and their ingredients do. I have only been using a 2% salisylic acid face wash which only cleans the surface skin and kills surface bacteria but since most acne starts from the inside I wasn't treating the whole problem So anyways I am really hoping that by using the ingredients in face washes that this book suggests that my acne will be cured. I thought it would be fun to watch the progress I made so I took a picture of my face with no makeup tonight and will do it again in about a week. I have been doing this for 3 days already and have already noticed a big difference.

So step one wash with a 2% salisylic acid facewash that has no other active ingredients the wash above is the one I am using.

Step two use a 8-10% glycolic acid wash no other active ingredients

step 3 use a 5-10% benzoyl peroxide cream on cold skin, keep skin cool for 10 minutes after application using ice packs to reduce inflamation in the skin allowing the benzoyl peroxide to penetrate deeply into the skin.

step four use an oil free moisturizer with an spf of 15 in the morning

and an intensive nightime moisturizer at night
I do all 4 steps at night and use the salisylic acid wash and moisturize in the morning.

So here is tonights picture, all of the red dots were full blown zits three days ago now they are all dried up and hrealing and so far no new zits. Now that I am using a better moisturizer hopefully my wrinkles on my forehead will get better also.

Allston's friend came over to play for an hour yesterday, they were both so excited to play with eachother. They both spend most of their time arguing with eachother and telling on eachother but they must like that because they always want to play together and they are both sad when its time for her to go home. I don't really get kids and how they like to fight but whatever.

Neither wanted to look at the camera so this is the best I could do.

Haircut Dont's

So many clients have been driving me CRAZY lately at work so I though I would write a post on haircut don't to maybe save your stylist from going crazy.

1. When you sit in the chiar and your stylist asks how you want your haircut don't reply with
"shorter or just trim it" we already know you want it shorter or you wouldn't be in for a haircut. Tell us how much you want off, like say 1 inch off on the length and 1/2 inch off the layers or show us how much length you want off using your fingers.

2. Don't go in and get a haircut when you are sick or just getting over an illness it's mean and we don't want to touch you when you are sick.

3. Don't walk in with less that 30 minutes until closing, we have a lot of cleaning and counting of money to do and we are tired from standing all day, you won't get the best haircut. Even if you REALLY need a haircut we still don't care, come in earlier or another day.

4. Don't come in after working out or if your job makes you sweaty, it's gross and we don't want to touch your sweaty stinky head. Go home and shower first.

5. Don't bring in a picture of Brittney Spears (or any other famous or pretty person) and tell your stylist you want to "look like her" we can't do that sorry. You can bring pictures of haircuts you like just don't expect to look like the model in the magazine.

6. Don't wear big hoop earing that will get caught in the comb and don't wear a hoodie during your haircut. It makes it hard to drape you and makes it hard to get the neckline even.

7. Don't get a shampoo/haircut/style and then only tip $1.00

8. Don't bring small kids unless you bring another ADULT to watch them, we have a lot of sharp tools and dangerous chemicals it's not safe and it's distracting.

9. Don't answer your cell phone or try texting during your haircut.

Allston the Merman King

This is how Allston was running around the house this afternoon, how funny is he. I asked if he was a merman king and he said "yep" so I guess thats what he is.

He gets to go spend the night at his mima April's house tonight and go to the aquarium tomorrow, that means since Geoff is at work I will have the house to myself tonight. I wish Geoff was here with me but I am just going to stay up really late so I can sleep in with him tomorrow! Funny what things becoime really exciting after having kids :)

Best game Allston and i have been to this year.

He kept saying he wanted to hug the Bear again, but thats not such an easy thing to do. I was able to do one thing for him that he kept asking for... he wanted more pictures with the dark haired Jazz dancers, so we found some.

He wanted to take more pictures with others, but i told him we'd find some next time we go.

Picture time!!!

Our family was able to go over to my parents house tonight for a yummy dinner and to get some pictures taken. You know me I can't just choose a couple to share so naturally this is a long (but very cute) post.

I dont know which I like better of the next 2 pictures.

I wish makeup worked as well on my face as photoshop does :)

The one above is one of my favorites!

I like my face best in the picture above but I don't know if I like that I am sitting on my butt.

I think I like this pose a little better.

I love Allston's face trying to open the soda. I did this one in black and white with the orage soda in color, I will put that one on another day because it turned out cute too.

Allston kept trying to pose by tipping his head all the way to one side, he is just so stinkin cute I can hardly stand it.

I really like the one above!

We did this pose for our engagment pictures, it's fun to see how we have changed.

We had to be a little silly :)

I usually don't like kissing pictures but this one turned out really nice I think.

My big boy!

And the last one is Allston's Valentines picture, now he wants his own typewriter to play with.
Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed.
Brenda sorry we didn't stay longer, Allston was just getting sleepy. Thanks again for getting that book for me, you are the best!
